This project is an album cover design for Cyndi Lauper’s 1983 pop album She’s So Unusual. The album focuses on themes of women’s independence, freedom, and breaking of social norms. The vintage TV symbolizes how Lauper’s music challenges the way women are traditionally displayed in the media. My branding focus was to use vintage technology as a way for women to express their personalities or bodies through a lens of their choosing. Symbolizing women’s access to autonomy and ability to choose how they are perceived through factors like their personality, style, and bodies.
